Thanks everyone! When I got home from work last night at 1am, I went straight to checking all the cabinets. I was double checking behind the water heater when my boyfriend called out for me excitedly. I went into the living room as he was coming out of the guest room where he was opening a window. He said, "I hear her outside!". We were both going for the front door and sure enough, Zam comes around from the side of the house, meowing her wee head off.

She ran indoors and Kia and Chipper instantly started smelling her and investigating. Zam went straight for the kitchen. lol!

I scooped her up and checked her over. Her legs and belly were muddy, so we cleaned her up (no real bath as she was traumatized enough as it was), and then gave her a can of food.

I'm not sure how far she wandered. She'd never been outside at my new place, so I wasn't sure if she did wander far if she'd know how to get back home. Plus we have a lot of dogs that wander loose (stray and pets) and I was worried one might go after her. My guess is she snuck out when I left for work Tues evening or at 4am when I had to go to the airport. It was when we got back from the airport at 9am Wed morning and she didn't greet us at the door that we realized something was wrong and started looking for her indoors.

I'm just so glad she's ok.

Last night getting a good meal:

I'm so glad that she's now home and hopefully she won't ever get outside again.
