    Brave, beautiful Lily!

Good morning to you dear, beautiful Lily! A very happy Dog of the Day to you, sweet baby girl, and to your wonderful family too! What an honor it is to meet you all, to have the opportunity to pay tribute to your family, to the very special pup that you are! I do hope this finds you and your family well!
I was so moved by your and your family's heart wrenching story, your miraculous recovery; inspired by the courage you all showed in the face of such incredibly daunting challenges! What a long and difficult recovery it has been for all of you, but thankfully, with the help of so many caring people, lay people and friends alike, and amazing medical professionals, the future is at long last looking bright! And just as your proud Mommy says, there's no doubt in my mind that your love and devotion, especially your visits to the rehab center, played a huge part in her and your skin brother's recoveries! Your and your family's courage, your fighting spirits, and your dedication to, and love for one another, are truly an inspiration! How lucky you all are to have one another to love and lean on, to turn to for comfort and support! And I just have to say in closing, Lily, you sure did clock in a lot of air miles, traveling from state to stae as you recovered! For that alone, you deserve a big, gold star!
Thanks to your dear Mom for sharing your beautiful self, your inspirational story, your heart melting photo album with us today! You truly are a miracle Corgi, and SO very deserving of our extra special Sunday honors! In fact, everyone in your family is a hero in my book!

Wishing for you all, a very happy and love filled Dog of the Day (hope a playdate with your pup pals is on the agenda), and many, many more wonderful years together, healthy and whole years!
Lots of love and endless hugs and kisses to you brave and beautiful Lily, Dog of a Lifetime!

    Little Lily

Dear little sweetheart I'm so glad you recovered from this terrible accident. We had a terrible car/truck pileup near our I-80 exit here in central PA last month and four little puppies were not as lucky as you were. Rescue workers rounded up 4 more dogs and one little one was lost overnight and wa injured but it was so cold out that this little one didn't make it either. So having a harness and a special carrier are so important.

I bet you had a great Dog of the Day;you were so lucky to have such a loving family and friends.

Lily almost ended up the same way....as the rescue worker at first refused to take her with us! He said we couldn't take a dog into the hospital...told him I wasn't getting in the ambulance unless the dog went too!! Fortunately one of the EMTs was able to get her crate out of the car.

I am a firm believer in securing dogs in the car now! It could have saved Lily lots of pain and saved us thousands of dollars!! We never go anywhere without her seat...she now loves it!
