    Like a punch in the stomach, that is what I feel as I read this. I am sooooo sorry, Shady. Spike was much, much loved. And, you are too.

    Ohhhh, so very sorry to hear it! :-( He was so beautiful!
    Sounds like you understood each other fabulously well. What a wonderful friendship you had! You made his stay here on earth a wonderful sojourn and he gave you much happiness...enough to last you a lifetime...enough to last until you see him again...
    I believe these separations are just a "pause" in the big scheme of things...
    But in the meantime, I'm so sorry for your sadness.

    We all know your pain because we've suffered that same pain - and probably will again. Words cannot erase it, but knowing that you're not alone will give you something to lean on. Fortunately, the pain is all ours; our beloved furchildren at the Bridge know only happiness - a deep, profound joy that we cannot begin to imagine. Spike is gloriously alive, absolutely healthy, and blissfully happy; cry for yourself - you need to do that - but force a smile, no matter how slight, for Spike and the joy he now knows. (The most beautiful smile is the one that must break through tears.) You *will* be reunited with him, and that reunion will be forever. That doesn't much help the pain now, i know; only time will ease that. I'm glad you wrote of your love for Spike in the present tense; so often, people say or write that someone *was* loved - but they live on, and so does the love!

    May Spike's Creator hold you gently in the hollow of His hands, comfort you, and lead your heart to peace.

    What a beautiful Cat you are Spike.
    I too have had Cats who were not cuddlers or lap Cats , but the love was always there between us.
    Spike has his job ahead of hom with Our Awesome Angels Army in Paradise, and Spike will find you a place where you will reunite as well as visiting you to make sure taht you all right.
    The good thing is that we will be all together in love.

    Oh no, I couldn't believe my eyes when I just saw this! I'm so very sorry, and I think it's just not fair ... But a bond like that can never really be cut, not even by death. Now he's with Tinkerbell again, and they're your furry angels now.
