Update on FuMan Chew from Feb. 1st.

Fu man's heart ultra sound showed the vet that the BB did graze his heart no major damage to heart but scar tissue as is heals could be a problem. he does have minimal fluid around the heart but but not enough to be concerned with. what they are concerned with is he has fluid around his lungs is a significant amount to draw their concerns to that now and that if worsen it could affect his breathing.. he doesnt show any signs of breathing difficulty now but the fluids there concern them enough to ask a lung specialist to view his lungs Depending on those result tomorrow.. If cleared to come home he will need antibiotics because of infection and pain meds. he will not be allowed any major excitement (so no ringing my door bell and must call before coming over) she stressed that his care will not be easy and he will need those meds. Right away.(she did not mention the cost yet) he is dehydrated and will need fluids probably tonight Some good news is his blood levels are no longer 23% but now 30% which is very good. The vet did say she's been holding him a lot today and he is a real cuddlier. They all think he is a very lucky fella! Hoping tomorrow to get more info.

I still have a hard time believing stories like this unless the money goes right to the vet. I feel bad for the dog because its an 8 year old unneutered chihuahua mix that was doing what, wondering around the neighborhood unsupervised? I'm sorry to be captain buzzkill about a terrible thing like this happening to an animal but if I donated to a cause like this it would be to put the dog in a better home. I have a hard time feeling sorry for the owners.

On top of the lack of money for the one dog, they have a lab/husky mix puppy! Another statistic in the coming years.

I agree that there are alot of stories out there. It's hard to determine what's real and what's a scam these days.
But, if you bother to check out IMOM.org 's website, you will see that they are on the up-and-up. They even publish their financials.

No one is asking you to feel sorry for the owners. But, in order to help the pet, you have to deal with the people. Surely, you're not saying that an animal doesn't deserve medical treatment because you disagree with the choices the owners make?

Check out IMOM.org and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

So glad they got the money. and please don't judge them. Maybe they didn't have the money.
Owned by my baby and heart-dog Lolli.

If each pet we love takes a part of our heart and replaces it with a part of theirs, my heart is a very strange collection of pieces, but I wouldn't have it any other way
