Yes, as mentioned, we just turned this feature on. There's not much difference between Quick Reply and a normal Reply, other than you cannot put a title on a post, and you get a bigger box to type in and all the clickable emoticons handy if you hit "Go Advanced."
If people don't like "Quick Reply, we can turn it back off, we figured we'd give it a try for a few days, and see what folks thought.
I've Been Frosted
I replied in another thread about this last night because this is when it started happening to me. I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one. I prefer to just have it the old way so I'm going to try to change mine back.I guess I can't. I just don't like having to also click on go advanced to that I can use the emoticons.
I agree with Tracey. This "new" way is inconvenient and confusing.
In the future, if there are other changes like this, is it possible for you to put a Sticky at the top of the board so we all know what's going on. This has been very disconcerting, especially for those of us who are more "mature"![]()
I've been "on the fence" regarding the change. The quick reply - go advanced doesn't bother me. Every time I hit quick reply with gmail I get the advanced, so I'm used to it.
