They told us she can resume normal eating when I took her home I've been sick all day with worry. She's not showing any interest in anything right now. She won't drink. I don't want to force her. She seems fairly comfortable sleeping. She's wrapped in a warm blanket cause she was cold. I just wish it was tomorrow so if she needs more tests I can get her in. I hate not knowing if she's ok. They said it's normal for her to be so sleepy with the meds they gave her...

If Clover is resting comfortably right now, just let her be & sit down
and read a book or make a call, or watch tv. Try to relax & think positive
thoughts. You'll both be better for it.

Her poor little body probably needs to rest from being sick. If she doesn't eat in the morning, I would take her to the vet. You could always boil a tiny it of chicken and rice for her. They actually give pain medicine in the anestetics, not all vets send them home with pain medicine. I hope she is better soon.

So sorry to hear of the hard time your having with Clover. I'm very surprised that they did not give her pain meds. I would also do the pedialyte thing Krista mentioned. Keeping her hydrated is very important. Hope everythings okay with her, keep us updated!

I took her out a few hours ago to pee. She seems weak and is having a little trouble moving around like she's in pain. She did have a good drink of water. I took her out and she peed and tried to poo. She's having a little trouble with the poo. I just took her out again and she seems very uncomfortable moving around and again tried to poo and not much came out. She had another drink and is laying down but is looking around. I'm worried she's in pain? Maybe she got a bone stuck in her some where. She was chewing last night and half of it is gone. Would I know it if she's really sick cause of the bone stuck in her? The vet said she'd try to throw up even with the anti-throw up meds if she has that problem. I'm just concerned because she just looks very sick and worried. (can dogs worry? It sure looks like worry to me)

If it's a bone stuck in her, will she be ok over night? I don't want her to stop breathing over night while I'm sleeping or something....

If a bone is stuck in her and it won't come out, she could very well have blockage and I would take her in right away for it as blockage can be fatal. Only a vet would be able to tell you if she has a blockage though with x-rays.

The thing is I don't know if it's a blockage. I asked the vet about it and she says she doesn't think she does but she can't say for sure. She did blood work to be sure she wasn't bleeding anywhere. She's not. She pood fine this morning, and she did poo some this evening. She wouldn't be able to if she was blocked?
