I called them today and asked if she'd be able to come home the same day. She said I could put a request in with the vet and if she does well in the surgery and the vet feels she's OK to go home then I can come get her.
I think they do this so people don't freak out in the middle of the night and call them?

I worried ALL night about it. The vet office just called me and said she is out of surgery and did fine. She's sleeping now. They said they'll let me know later if she can come home. I told them I don't want her alone from 5:30pm til 7 or 8 am the next day. She'd pee in her kennel and have to sleep in it all night. They said she'd just sleep anyway. I said I'll keep her in a kennel and just let her out to pee. I'd be so much more comfortable having her with me. I miss her and can't wait to give her a hug and kiss. I hope she's not too mad at me for having her go through all this.
I hope she can come home tonight. By tomorrow, you will have your hands full, if she's anything like my pups, she'll be ready to run just like nothing ever happened.
