I was so worried yesterday when I signed in and didn't see an update about Mystic (I guess I was just a little to earlier). I am very glad that he is at home, you are right, sometimes that is the best medicine.
You can force feed him using food that has been diluted down to a slurry and then use an oral syringe to feed him. (Similar to if you are hand raising kittens)
Some people have used baby food and found that their cats will eat it (unfortunately that trick doesn't work in my household)
I will be thinking of you and Mystic and hoping he will continue to get better
