Thread: Bottle baby madness!

I nearly fell of my chair when I saw that little baby. What a sweet little bundle. It must be an amazing experience to bottle feed a baby animal. What a wonderful job you are doing. The pictures are just to die for!
I hope you keep getting stronger little Parsley

Snakemomma, I hope Parsley doesn't have Coccidia, roundworm or any other infections. I hope he's still feeding well. I'm so glad the vet said what a great job you are doing! What a darling tiny baby kitten.

Thank you for doing such a great job. Feeding a bottle baby is not easy. He looks like he is going to be a lover. It is just so rewarding to what them grow, makes all the work worth it.

Quick update! I had a REALLY long shift today so photo uploads are going to have to wait, but I wanted to drop in.

We got the official OK to keep him! My hubby talked to his mom and she agreed! I guess we're a three cat household now! Charlie and Sherpa now approach him with friendliness and curiosity, no more hissing! Since Charlie has flare ups of feline herpes occasionally, we're keeping both cats away from direct contact until he's had some vaccines, but the outlook for a peaceful household is good!

When he got upgraded from foster to permanent cat, he also got a new name: Kyuubei! Right now he's asleep in my lap.

Tonight he took his first few licks of KMR from a dish. He lost his balance and face-planted into the KMR partway through, so once he had sneezed it all out he wanted the bottle back, but it was a start!

My dog Jasper is very concerned about all of the goings on with HIS KITTEN, and wants to be involved with all aspects of kitten care. Kyuubei is in return very interested in Jasper, and watches him constantly. I think Kyuubei and Jasper are going to be very good friends.

(Thank you Freedom for sending me to this thread!!)

OMG! It is like opening up a flood of memories of my little Caramella when I first got her!! It brings tears to my eyes just remembering. What a joy it was taking care of a bottle baby and being a year old now.... you wouldn't believe how big she is now and how spoiled she is for her "Mama"..

Goodness, what a joy it was taking care of her and now, I am not sure who takes care of who!

Parsley is so adorable and you will enjoy him so much. All those "first" are wonderful and I am still experiencing them with Caramella...her first bug in the house... her first lizard she saw run across the window.. You are in for so much fun and joy... Enjoy every moment, they grow so fast!!

See how big she is now?

    Kisses to Kyuubei

i haven't had the time to visit Pet Talk much - and how very glad I got here today! God bless you mightily for taking care of this tiny one - whose cuteness goes above and beyond! I've never had to care for a bottle baby, but I have a friend who did - even took the kitten to the hospital for the day when she herself had to have tests. (Hubby fed the kitten out in the truck.) Priscilla grew into a gorgeous - also white! - cat. May you all have many, many happy and healthy years together!

How does one pronounce Kyuubei? Just checkin' - and congrats on his becoming a permanent resident, but you really weren't gonna take Jasper's kitten from him anyway, were ya?

I also have a white kitten named Kimba who is just about Caramella's age. He was wandering around our apartment complex after his owner had moved and abandoned him! He, too, is named after a cartoon character that I love. My other two cats are not too fond of him, but that is slooooowly getting better. He has gone froma slightly wild feral into a loving, purring, lap cat. Enjoy your precious baby! Whities are very special furbabies.

I'm glad that you were finally able to make Kyuubei an offical member of your household. Congrats!!! I look forward to being able to watch him grow up.

I've been bad about photos, but so much has been going on! We changed the spelling of his name to Kyubey to make it easier, LoL.

He's getting to be a big boy! Yesterday I set him in a litterbox for the first time and he squatted right away! I'm delighted!

    OH MY DEAR LORD............

    What a little cutie.

Wen I first 'met' the Edster he fit into the pocket of my t-shirt. This little guy reminded me of those days.

Thanks for taking care of this little one.
