pssst... Buddy... Cassie here... I've found that the "wake up and feed me game" is just as much fun at 5 AM as it is at 6:30 I also do it at a little different time each morning to mess with my food lady's head. She knows I am usually hungry between 5:30 and 6 AM- so sometimes I call her a little earlier. Keeps it interesting. When she puts on her glasses and switches on the lamp, I know I have the upper paw. When she sits up and says, "Okay - what?" I know I've won!

Buddy, I understand completely. Hoomans don't get it. Right now there's something called "air conditioning" on so the windows are closed. No wonder I get confused! The windows are supposed to be open and the birdies singing so I know when to get my purrents up. How can I help it if I get the time a little wrong?

Hi Buddy! I start working on mine at about 4:00am! She thinks I don't need to eat breakfast before 5:00am. She's wrong, of course, as we all know.

You're doing good work! Keep at it.

I am sure Buddy will take all of the highly valuable information into thought. Thanks for that!

Buddy knows all about the glasses. I used to always just put my glasses on the nightstand until he came along years ago. I learned very quickly that I needed to get a glasses case and keep it near or under my pillow. I spent too many mornings searching for my glasses under the bed and I am VERY blind without my glasses.

What they don't understand is, food is to be provided at Food O'Clock.

And the cat, NOT the attendant, is the one who determines just when that comes along in the humans' local time zone.

Yea they don't get that do they. However, I guess if their bellies are growling they are forced to meow about it.

Wait a minute...I doubt my guys ever have growling bellies because their bowls always have food in them.

Dear Buddy-- You inspired me! I got my food lady to turn on the lamp and put on her glasses at 5:47 this morning! That was a little earlier than yesterday, just to keep her on her toes.

Dear Diamond, I will have to try this with my food lady! She is slow to top up my dry food sometimes. Thank you for the idea!

Hi all my kitty friends - Myndi here............

Now don't go thinking that cats alone have the monopoly of evoking an early wake up call. Sparky and I have figured out how to get Mom up when we want her up, even if we're not hungry. We just bark, or get in her face, and she's up in a flash. It didn't used to be that way tho - she would just tell us to hush up and go back to sleep - and this could happen anywhere between 2 a.m. and around 5:30 a.m. Okay - so we went back to sleep eventually - after we pooped or peed on the floor. You see kitties - dogs don't do litter boxes - we have to go outside and do our business in the yard - which really isn't all that bad (except when it snows) ! So now Mom has learned to take us seriously and she's up when we want her up - even if we're just joking and don't have to go afterall. Tee-hee-hee!!! She doesn't know if we were serious or not until we get outside, so she just gets up when we say to get up, and she suffers in silence. It's either get up or clean up most of the time tho....
