In our backyard we have buried 7 beloved critters. We had them cremated. The ashes were put in a Rubbermaid container with a laminated picture and a copy of The Rainbow Bridge poem. On the ground, above each site, is a brick engraved with their name and years with us.

We try to bury each one in a spot that was special to them. For instance, Mouse(cat) is in a garden on the lot line. He was always guarding the yard from intruders. Nelly Jane(cat) and Jenny(dog) are buried side by side - as that is how they lived their lives.

*sniff* how touching. Made me teary-eyed.

I will always keep my dog Graham's collar as a keepsake. I don't have any problem with folks keeping their pets' ashes in their homes as keepsakes, but that's not my style. I don't hold on to the ashes, I spread them or bury them. Graham's collar is my special piece of him that I will forever cherish.

For Stormy we put flowers in her back yard with a marker with her picture inside. Also framed the rainbow bridge poem and put it on the living room wall. We kept her toys in a box. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow she went to heaven and i still cry every day i miss my baby so very much. Ilove you Stormy

On a 3 tier shelf I have one side with my fave photo of Cody (hard choice) sitting on top of his ashes. Also his collar and small ceramic labs in different positions. I also have the lovely picture that Amy-WolfQ made and framed on the living room wall. Also pictures of him in frames on tables. I have more Cody and Logan framed photos on my walls than people.
