    Who knew?? We have lots of rabbits but they usually eat the tender shoots just as they poke out of the ground. This is a first time for the whole flower head.

    LOL, must be fewer rabbits, or more tulips! He he heeee.

    We don't have rabbits around here. We did when I bought the house, 9 uyears ago. But then the coyotes moved in . . . . .

    We have a coyote in the neighbourhood for the first time this year. I wondered where all the rabbits had gone but lo and behold - they were just waiting for the spring bulbs to start growing! Don't know what the coyote is feeding on but my neighbour will no longer let her Jack Russell Roxy roam round the back yard on it's own.
    Sorry if I have hijacked this thread - was unintentional.

    Not at all, that is how conversations flow. Your neighbor is smart, that Roxy wouldn't last w/ a coyote around.
