Hi Guys!!!!!! I've landed. With all your good thoughts, God carried me here to the land of good Bourbon, fast horses and faster women. I can't believe it but I'm less than 5 miles from the site of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs. I'll update you on the story later. The Edster sends his love too. You guys don't want to see me in my threethree. Love you all.

Richard - I'm so glad you got there on God's wings. Wow, Kentucky! Won't that be a culture shock for ya?? Any palm trees down there? Maybe I could come and visit - any particular costume you want me to wear or should I just arrive in my tutu???

Hey barkeep, fill up Richard's glass and mine while you are at it. Richard looks like he could use a big 'ol plate of cakes and syrup.

    Happy Tuesday everyone.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Hey, Richard stopped by - how terrific to hear that he made it safely. Boy does he ever have a bunch of treats in store for him. Kentucky is one beautiful state. If he finds the bourbon we are all in trouble.......it is pretty strong stuff.

A little extra of the gin/vodka/whatever.

Good to know you arrived safely, Richard! Say hello to all the horses for me! I still have a little cast iron colt my grandma brought me back from a trip she made to Kentucky when I was a little girl!

I always wondered about it being "stiff" too - although I hear that more often than I do - make it "strong".

    I'll check it out.

Ginger ale and some soft cookies (so as not to make loud crunchy noises in one's mouth) coming right up.

    Hey everyone.

I did make it safely with the Edster. THAT was a huge accomplishment in itself and I and proud of what I was able to do and what got done. At the moment one of my hands is numb from driving and I have a foot injury that's killing me-but as good stiff drink will cure that!

I had two beers last night when I got in and they were the best tasting brews I had had in a while.

    Anyways,

I still have to settle in and will start to get back into the swing of things.

Much to catch up with and absorb about this place called Kentucky. I am going to wait on the Bourbon thing!
