Welcome home, Baby!

Freedom, Oscar was like that when I first got him. He had been tamed with almost a year of work from the boarding kennel owner, then put in a carrier and taken to the vet, then back at the boarding kennel in a room. At least, with the linoleum type floor, he figured out the litter box in no time.

I had everything set up in one room in the house, my bedroom. Even though he knew me and was huggable and pettable, as soon as I opened the carrier door, he bolted behind the bed where the baseboard heater was. Poor guy had half himself up on the heater and his other legs on the floor!

I moved the bed and spent time with him. By 5 am the following morning, he was muttering...and I noticed his food dish was empty. He adjusted well after that!

At least Baby knows her Meowmie, and that will help a lot.
