I just realized/remembered that it was about this time 8 years ago that Phred's mom, Alice, passed away. (She passed 12/19/02.) I can't find the post but I remember her favorite song being, "His Eye is on the Sparrow."

I really didn't know him like many of you did, but I enjoyed reading his posts because he had such a wonderful sense of humor. It touches my heart that he touched the hearts of so many of you. Yes, he is being given a million kisses right now from his beloved Rainbow Bridge pets. Rest in peace....

I imagine the reunion at the Bridge today would be quite something to behold. I am so sad that he's left us. No one could write a posting like Phred. Dear sir you've been in my thoughts daily and I'm so sad that you're gone.

I just saw this on fb, and came right over. Major LES, we've lost a very special dear man, he was truly one of a kind. He did so much for everyone. I will miss his calls every time he sees we've have a minor catastrophe over here.

Staci, what a great thought! oh my gosh, it must have been a mob scene when he arrived - kind of like at the gate of the Findlay Dog Park at picnics! and just think - they are ALL happy & healthy! Peanut butter biscuits for all!

I'm not very good with words in situations like this....but I wanted to come and pay some last respects to a kind, caring and compassionate man. Phred was one of the very first people that drew me into pettalk. I remember stalking his threads with amusement. He always cared about other people and always looked to show that in practical ways. My heart is aching tonight....life is so short. Rest in peace, Phred!
