It doesn't seem possible for Phred to be gone. How could a heart that big not go on beating forever?

Oh my god, this is so sad. Rest Easy, Phred. You were such an amazing, honorable person.

I am shocked. We know now that, he is happy though, up there with our PT dogs and cat angels.

I'm just so sad to be reading this. He was such a wonderful man, helping everyone in any way he could.

Dearest Phred,
There are no words to describe the incredible loss I am feeling at your sudden passing. I never "met" you but I did "know" you ..... you were truly an amazing man. I know you did lots of things behind the scenes, and everyone who benefited from your kindness will surely be grieving your passing today.

I am sure Bowser was eagerly waiting at the gate, with his tail wagging in that circle - the way it always did.

The Fur-Pups will miss you terribly, but luckily they are going to another Doggie Mad house for awhile, so that should make the heart ache a little less.

My dearest Phred,

I am shocked and speechless.

I always expected you to sit up and tell the hospital staff you wanted to get the hell outta there, you had pets to feed and fires to fight.

We've had our differences over the years. But I've always admired your tenacity and wit, as well as your passion for the pets. All other things left unsaid, you were a true friend.

We will all meet up again, each and every PTer here...

Phred,

I sent you a note a few days ago and hoped you would have had a chance to have read it.

You sir, were a man amongst men and our personal conduit to the Prayer Pups Line. Rest easy now and I know your next job will still be the "operator" of the PPL....on the Rainbow Bridge side.

Thanks for all the kindness and talent you put forth on Pet Talk.

You will be missed.

Oh no, I'm in shock I honestly don't know what to say.

Phred was such a great guy, Pet Talk will never be the same without him. He's been there for so many people on this board. If anyone needed anything, you could always count on him to be there; he even helped me with my wedding plans. He was typical Phred, kept bugging me to do stuff when I was slacking, I wasn't good at wedding planning - he kept me in line.

It touched me because I knew he genuinely was happy for me and cared how it all went. I've been telling Corby I wanted to go to Ohio next memorial day and honestly a big reason was to see him again since his health wasn't the best.

Big time LES here. Good-bye Phred.
