Thanks for all your messages Not looking too hopeful now as my daughter has got very attached to Brody - apparently they spend a lot of time playing together and Brody often sleeps in her room, so it looks like I won't be getting my girl back (I know the name is a boy's but Katie named her ).

However, once this has been confirmed I will be looking at finding a pusscat that is in need of a loving home

If they are playing together and Brody sleeps with her, they are bonded. You should leave them together. Brody will adjust and love being with you, but it would break your daughter's heart. There is always a kitty out there that needs the love you have to give. That would be a win/win, wouldn't it?

Can't disagree with any of that Either way, I will have a kitty again very soon

The decision has been taken away from me as I have now been informed that I cannot have my cat back

Sorry you won't be getting Brody back but there are so many more out there that don't have a home and need you.. Life just isn't complete without a fur kid in the house once one has owned you. They make a house a HOME!

I agree. I'm very sorry but now you can rescue another cat in need. Good luck.
