There is a disease in the deer population -- very controversial right now -- I believe it is called wasting disease (?) It is supposedly similar to mad cow.

Wisconsin has some problems. I not sure of where else but that might be what you are thinking about....

For those who eat deer and elk, are you not afraid of catching that disease that makes you crazy
