Thanks for the beautiful pictures, Kirsten!
We had exactly the same summer here. Only a few hot days, no more than one week or 10 days in total. For the rest it rained at least one or two days/week and some days were very cold for a summer, not more than 16°c. It was a strange summer, one day cold, one day with normal temp.
My garden remained green the whole summer and I almost did not need to water it.
And I feel like you now: I can hardly believe summer is over, because it was really to short. I just didn't have enough warmth and sun![]()
Sounds like most of Europe was disappointed with 'summer' this year! It was a similar story in the UK - a few brief weeks of glorious sun in late May and June, but I barely saw any blue sky at all in July and August (I returned from Uganda expecting to be able to maintain my tan, not so!). September did offer a handful of warm-ish days in which I could comfortably sit and read in the garden in shorts and a t-shirt, but it didn't last long.
Those pictures are truly lovely, Kirsten, and transport me back to those sunny days that were so few!
