Yep, that's our garden. Rather, it's the main garden about a month ago.

Now we have tomatoes ripening, corn is on the way, we're inundated with squash, we've got about 15-20 bags of green beans in the freezer, broccoli, and the cauliflower are on the way.

We also have an herb bed and a salad green bed.

Hopefully next year the blueberries and raspberry bushes will produce enough to do something with.

Cool! it's fun to see, you know I can't have a vegetable garden here for several reasons - mainly bad dirt and no sun to mention, not to mention the likely lead content of the soil even if I got sun.

Enjoy, you know I'm jealous, but allergic to most of it anyway. Has Marylin Jean learned to make cornhusk dolls yet?

I am going to petition LH to see if he needs a Mexican gardener.

I'll take my pay in produce.

As long as Herb is sleeping in it?

LOH is going to have to take pic of the other gardens so I can post them tomorrow. There's something to be said for making Bruschetta using only ingredients out of your own gardens.

LOVE Zucchini flowers on a pizza! I've never had the stuffed ones or fritters, but I'm sure it's good!

That's actually the side forty, lol. Would you like some salad greens or herbs for the pizza?

    Salad greens

Herbs, chives, oregano, two kinds of basil, several kinds of mint and dillweed

Yeah and LH is already talking about making the main one bigger next year and then that's how big it will stay. (We'll see about that). We've already discussed putting the spaghetti squash and the pumpkins in their own raised beds next year because they tend to like space. We have an ambitious spaghetti squash plant trying to use one of the tomato cages and the pumpkins have invaded my pak choi.

Case in point, this spaghetti squash did not like the confines of the garden

And this is one of his pumpkin partners in crime

Do you need a weed-puller, LH? I'd be happy to pull weeds but I have a request -- can I please sit and pet Lady afterwards?

Could I please have some of Pinot's Mom's diet 7-up? No vodka for me though.

Hi all, we too have green beans out the giggy... what is a "giggy" anyway?? sounds rather nasty to me... ennyhoo... cuc's, squash (best served grilled IMO) early curlyflower and broc but gone by now... tooo hot. My boss took me out to a local restaurant last night for an early B-day dinner and one of the appitizer specials was fried squash blossoms. Didn't try it but we had some edible garden flowers in salads earlier on this season. Right now (12:30) I'm nibbling on some avocados and fresh 'maters from our gardens (the 'maters, waaaay to north for an avocado bush/tree ). I'll tote some stuff over to the bar to throw in the mix. Start the grill!!!! By the way... ran into Pinot's Mom and hubby Coop Tuesday night at the Willie Nelson concert.. GREAT FUN
