Here is a Indiana Lawmaker who not only talks the talk, but also walks
the walk. We should have more like her.

INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indiana lawmaker who fought for legislation regulating large-scale puppy breeding operations is spending time driving rescued dogs from Indiana to New England.
Democratic Rep. Linda Lawson of Hammond is transporting dogs as part of the CanINE Express Transport Project. Five vans leave Bloomington on Thursday to take 92 dogs from Indiana to animal shelters in New England states.
Lawson said Indiana suffers from "extreme pet overpopulation" and that dogs taken to New England are much more likely to find a good home because there's more demand there for adoptable pets.
Lawson's van will be going to New Hampshire. She said she hopes to learn about legislative issues there and said her trip will influence her future legislation.
