He will have to eat soft food for at least 6 weeks, lamp shade lol only when we are sleeping so he won't scratch and lick fear pulling the staples. As far as the meds hes on 5 diff types
(1.) heartgard for the rest of his life
(2.) metacam oral liquid one time a day
(3.) tramadol for the pain every 8 hrs.
    (4.) antirobe 150 mg every 12 hrs
    (5.) doxcycline 100 mg every 12 hrs
He does good takeing all of his meds. He eats like a horse LOL and sleeps like a human. He has lots of play toys that were donated but.... he cant play with them right now, that has to wait at least 6 weeks or until he heals. We will keep all of you here on PT up to date and more pics.... Thanks again for everything, from the Sibley Family Kevlin,Rhonda,Tory,Lisa,Heather, and last but not least Jonny walker

Laura, thanks for sharing this news video. He sure looks happy to be home. I also enjoyed seeing his pictures. What a very lucky dog he is to be so loved by everyone. I sure hope he'll continue to do well and will have many more happy and healthy years ahead of him.

Thanks for posting the link to the video, Laura, and to Kevlin for posting the pics at home. Jonny certainly does look good, and so happy to be home. It's hard to believe that the poor guy went thru so much trauma, and can still "smile" and wag that tail.
Prayers for his continued good progress, and hugs and belly rubs from us too!

Aww, he looks so sweet in the first picture posing for everyone!

After exploring his home and saying hello to everyone, I bet he needed a good sleep. You can just tell from the pictures that he feels safe and happy!

I'm glad he doesn't have to have the lamp shade on all the time, and glad to hear he takes his medicine without problems. What a brave boy he is!

Keep getting better, Jonny - and let them all spoil you!

Laura, I cannot view videos from that TV channel.

I had no internet for the past couple days, so I'm just getting on here, but I am so glad he is released and doing well. It's awesome to see all the love for this guy pay off.

I just found this thread now. On Facebook I was wondering who is Jonny Walker? Now I know!

Another wonderful, inspiring story of the spirit rebounding after such a dark episode. Bravo to the community that pulled together.

    Jonny, we love ya!

Jonny is doing good, We let Kelly (petfriend) take him to her house. We was going to keep him here but after 6months of being unemployeed I finally went back to work, my wife with her job, and the kids going back to school, Jonny had to be with someone that could be there when he needed to go outside. He also had to have someone that could be there to give him his meds, all the attention he needs. I wish we could have kept him here but, he needs to be where someone can give him all that attention.
Sorry I have not updated more often than I have but I am glad to be working again.
