She brings attention to an empty food dish by standing in front of the dish and meowing in our direction. She does not like me to be asleep when she is awake. She will stand behind by my bed and meow until I acknowledge her existence. She will then sometimes allow me to fall back asleep, but often some petting is required before that's permitted.

Dear beautiful, fluffy Cora! My cat, Cassie, thinks this is an excellent job of having your purr-son extremely well trained!! Greeting gorgeous Cora! Happy Cat of the Day to you! Oh, what spectacular blue eyes, what a magnificent coat you have! Who knew a svelte 7lb'er was hidden beneath all of that glorious fluffiness! And oh, of course you're spoiled, I mean loved unconditionally! That's just as it should be! But I have to admit, I laughed out loud reading how you require your Mommy's full attention, even when she needs to sleep, and how generous of you to allow her to fall back to sleep... Who says we aren't loyal slaves to our furkids! Well, I'd find it hard to deny you anything!

I submitted her story almost a year ago. I recieved notification that this picture would be posted last week. I actually lost her to bone cancer last month, which has been one of the hardest things I have dealt with ever. Having Cora chosen as "Cat of the Day" was a very sentimental and special moment for me. Your comment was very special to me.
