I'm gonna ditto what wolfq said, because when I first got Oz
he was just so active he could care less about being petted and
cuddled. Oh what a difference a couple of months made. My first
human instinct was "man he doesn't like me", but I started trying
to win him over by doing what he liked best, which is play. Oh
my gosh! he's changed so much. He still loves to play best, so
he'll come nudge me with his toy, but he also comes and nudges
me with his nose to be petted and to sit in my lap or just to be
close to me. Never dreamed he'd turn out to be so loving based
on the initial meeting.
