Well my heart pup, Saph, is going to his new home on Tuesday Mixed emotions overload. As of now, Ellie still does not have any bites yet, so she's still available **subliminal message....did you hear that, Mugsy?**. I am a little worried about Ellie. She is EXTREMELY active and she's also very, very smart. Almost too smart for her own good. She is an excape artist. She can easilly climb out of her puppy enclosure as well as sucessfully knock down the baby gate. She can easilly climb up and down the stairs and she is just so independant. She is not into being held or cuddled, and she just does not seem to be terribly concerned about people. Whenever anyone picks her up to hold her, she immediately starts wiggeling and whining. She is SO active, and SO much more so then Saph. She can hardly stand to sit still for any amount of time unless she's sleeping because she is so spunky. Also when I have them outside for a potty, I almost always have to "trap her" by quietly sneaking up to her when she's not looking. Otherwise, she runs away from me and she won't come back. She's going to be such a handfull. I am worried about her because of that. She is also by far the dominating puppy of the two.

I am worried about her. I hope she will grow up to be a good dog and not be too much trouble, otherwise she's at risk of being turned back into the MHS

Saph has a fantastic life ahead of him. He is going with a super nice young family with two little girls. They are wonderful dog people and they recentlly lost their dog of 15 years. They were looking for a female pup. They really didn't think they had any interest in a male dog. They have only had girl dogs so they were sure they were going to pick Ellie until they met the pups, and Saph is so much more cuddly and adoring, and he's so much more mellow and tolerant and dependant that they chose Saph to be their first male dog ever. Saph was actually playing with the little girls, and he was VERY tolerant of them holding him, while Ellie went off to do her own thing and she squirmed and whined when the kids tried to hold her for any amount of time. At first, the mom and dad were worried about having a male pup because they were so used to having female dogs, but there was no question, Saph is going to be a more cuddly, in-your-face and under your feet, mellow, layed back, submissive dog and that is exactally what they wanted. I went and bought him a going away gift basket with a bunch of toys in it last night. I am going to dread seeing him go, but the new family promised me that they would keep in contact, and they also said that once Saph is fully vaccinated, I can meet them at the dog park with my pups and we can have an occational reunion. They also said they would send me pics of him while he's growing up, and when he's fully grown. I am so excited about his family. He is going to be so happy.

Now I have to work on that little Ellie. She is one fiesty little thing!
