Logan, I'm so sorry to hear that your sweet Butter boy is missing.
I can't remember, does he usually wear a collar with an ID tag on it?
Have you also posted missing cat posters at the Golf Course behind your house?
I wonder if someone found him and wanted to keep him for themselves.
I really hope that he finds his way back home to you soon.
Have you thought about contacting Nancy E. or Pawsitive Thinking (Brody's Mum) about finding him?

Logan, I am so sorry to hear that your Butter has gone missing. I hope that silly kitty comes home soon. You should not have to worry! Maybe he is sitting in a garage, with the door closed. That is always a fear of mine....that I lock my own or a neighbor's cat in my garage!

No sign of Butter yet, but thank you all for your prayers for his safe return. I keep hearing stories of these miracle cats who show back up after being gone a long time. It is just so unlike Butter to leave in the first place, let alone stay away. He is not scared of anything, so I wouldn't think that he is hiding or frightened. I just don't know.
Zoe, to answer your question, we have put up signs everywhere, and Butter was wearing his collar and id tag. I did discover last night, after a call from my mom, that one of our handsets for our home phone was off the hook and since we hardly ever use that phone, we had no idea! Mom said she had called and called and the line kept being busy. Henry and Bo had apparently knocked the phone off the table several days ago. That's the number that is on his tag, so if someone tried to call, I wouldn't have known it. Hopefully someone will call today. Scott is at home recovering from surgery so he is listening for it.
I'll keep you posted if there is any word on our big boy. I went back in the archives and read the posts from when I found him yesterday. I loved that boy from day one, even though I have told you horrible stories about him over the years. He is very precious to me and I'm not sure anyone else could have ever tolerated or loved him the way I have. I continue to pray for him to come home safely.

Our potter is much like Butter, would not be an in house only kitty, same scenario and he went missing for 5 days a few years ago. My neighbor saw him playing with neighbor kids after 5 days, turns out they had sort of adopted him, my neighbor went and scooped him up and brough him back home.

There is hope, I will pray for Butter.
