The Greatest Game Ever Played (2005)
With James Paxton, Tom Rack, Armand Laroche. A golf drama based on the true story of the 1913 US Open, Great predictable movie and I'm not even a golfer

The Dark Crystal
definitely not sitting through that sucker ever again.
My wife and I bought tickets yesterday to see WOLFMAN, but daughter No.3 decides to have a huge argument with the boyfriend.......a 17 year olds argument........so we stayed home so that we could cart tissues backwards and forwards thru the house.
Anyone want 2 free tickets to yesterdays 8.30pm session ????
I watched Whip It on the plane last week. I liked it a lot.Since then I've just watched one classic Doctor Who story and that's it for tv or movies. I got a new audiobook though.

The Rapture w/Mimi Rogers and David Duchovny. Mimi Rogers did some seriously moving acting in this film. It's a very. disturbing. movie. Very.

Add me to the list of Avitar fans!!! I will admit that the plot is nothing new but the way it was presented was beautiful in my opnion. The visuals are spectacular! I love love love this movie!
Edited to add: I am a huge sci-fi film nut though. I even like that old black and white movie where the gigantic brain creatures try to eat people and one of the characters goes after the creatures with an axe...anyone know the name of it? Is Avitar the BEST sci fi film ever? No, I don't think so but it ranks up there for me.
I also like protagonist assemilates into alien culture because he finds them less objectionable than his own culture stories...even in books. Yay for plot devices!
