    Here is mine........

They aren't very big. This one measures 7.5 inches tall to the top of the spout, and 5.25 Inches in diameter at the base. It has 6 matching cups, but I just put one in so you could get the idea.

What a pretty set. How many cups does it hold?

Thanks! This set is really pretty plain compared to some of the VERY ornate ones I've seen. If you Google "antique hot chocolate pot", you'll see what I mean.

The little cups hold 4 oz, and the pot will give you 8 of those. Remember - this was in the days when folks were more refined and didn't drink from big mugs or super-size their drinks! I can just picture the ladies sitting around sipping their hot chocolate (with that pinky finger extended of course), just like they did at their tea parties!

No, he's gonna leave us on pins and needles....

Barkeep, in the meantime, IT'S FRIDAY!! Work's done, time for a Vodka and Diet Ginger (since I'm not in Utah anymore) and maybe some good cheddar with Triscuits? Anyone want some?

On a side note - IT'S PET EXPO THIS WEEKEND!! What does my little girl need that she doesn't have?? Have to really think about that! Anyone want me to look for anything for them?

Here is my hot chocolate pot, I have I think 6 of the small cups, and maybe 4 of the tea cups. I also took a shot from the top, so you can see the unique shape of the spout, and an extra comparison shot with a normal modern size mug - my Pooh mug - next to one of the hot chocolate cups. The porcelain is so delicate I worried about scrubbing too hard when I washed it!

The pattern is Maidenhair by Malmaison, Germany, J&C company, if anyone was curious.

Isn't it pretty? And now you can see why I said I do have mugs for those whose hands are too big for the delicate cups!

That's a beauitiful set. My Mom would have loved to have that one.

Ah, it reminds me of a slower, more stress free time of living.

Yes, but the cups are so delicate and small! So we must sip slowly and enjoy the company, and refill often, right?

Not only do I tend to use my modern-sized mug for hot chocolate, I sometimes use an even bigger one!

It is bitter cold here tonight, the weather channel says it's 11 above, but "feels like" 8 below zero! Good night for staying in and having a nice cup of cocoa. Anyone want some? Your choice - pretty little cup, mug or larger!

I could use some coffee...no matter what I do work seems to come up and bite me in the butt...ahh "mondays". Only a little over 10 hrs to go *sighs* I at least am treating myself to a cab ride to work and keeping up with my exercise regimen by walking to the bus stop after work. Hope yall are having a good one!
