Winter, I love it, let me count many a way
I love the snow when it's falling, night or day
It hushes sounds and silence brings,
The whole city slows and stops
It covers grey parking lots and abandoned lots equally
So that the world cleaner, newer and fresher
And like those could be meadows buried under a blanket of white
Snowfall brings neighbors closer
Everyone is out to shovel, clearing sidewalks and driveways
And driveways again
And conversation happens that doesn't in busier times.
