I could do without ...
an insurance plan that excludes weight loss surgery from coverage (you'll pay for the complications of obesity, but you won't pay for surgery that would help me avoid them?
cancer happening to friends/acquaintances (LEAVE US ALONE, CANCER!)
Homeless people; dogs and cats waiting to be adopted from shelters

I could also do without winter storms that go from rain to freezing rain to snow over a 24-hour (or less) period. And having to go to the laundromat, I could definitely do without that by moving to a place with a laundry room.
