Hugs to you and Max. I hope that you're able to get more quality time with your dear one.

Time helps the sadness subside, but the memories remain forever.
I came home tonight to find 3 different puke spots. Poor boy puked up undigested dry food - 2 in my bedroom and 1 in the kitchen. Still....when I came through the door he cried and cried for his wet food and I was happy to oblige. Surprise - didn't find any "lumps" but he also has not used either litterbox all day and evening. I went looking/feeling for pee spots all over but couldn't find any. Hope I'm not missing anything.![]()
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Ramping up the prayers from here for you both.
I hope the book will bring you comfort when the time comes.
No need to be embarrassed by Max's boo boos any more than you would if he was a dear older relative living with you.![]()

If he puked up undigested dry food, then I suspect that there was nothing to make 'lumps' with in his dear little body.
The wet food will help with that and will rehydrate him a bit.
Hugs to you and to Max.![]()

I have no excuses, just haven't been here very much, Slick, and had no idea what you were dealing with. Please know that you and Max are in my prayers. I will try to keep in better touch.

Thanks Logan, Catty and MOFF. My concern continues. Max has taken up residence behind my bed. How he gets in there is beyond me because there is only about a 6" gap on either side of the bed for him to crawl in. Speckles used to get in there in her later years so I blocked it off with cardboard. Looks like I'll have to do it again. My poor boy only ate about 1/2 of what he normally does. He's behind the bed now even though I tried to entice him out with treats.![]()

Slick, I'm so sorry to hear this.Is he a hard cat to pill? The reason I ask this is that maybe giving him some pepcid would help him. I don't know if your vet has ever suggested this or not. I'd start with 1/4 of a tablet in the morning and then 1/4 in the evening. This might help to settle his stomach and help him feel more comfortable. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way. Please take care. (((HUGS)))
