Pittsburgh, PA help needed

My son texted me asking me if I'd like to adopt his kitty; she's a sweet tuxedo. His new girlfriend is highly alergic to cats. I'd take her if I didn't already have two pets... 1) a 6 year old PitBull, (who LOVES everybody) & 2) a 13 year old long hair cat, (who thought she was queen of the house until the dog showed up) anyway, the last time someone asked me if I wanted to adopt their kitty, my cat had a conniption fit & dug her claw into the poor kitten's back. ChiChi is NOT very accepting of anyone new, it took her until last year to stop hiding in my bedroom all day to keep away from the dog... now she just tollerates him, sometimes gets along with him, but mostly just tollerates...
JD cannot seem to find anyone to take his kitty & I'd hate to have to take her to a shelter...
Any suggestions?

Would allergy pills/shots help the situation? That's all I can think of at the moment.

Ask around to friends and relatives, and have your son and his GF do so as well.

Hi, Conchitaroja! I'm David P and until recently, I lived in Pittsburgh. I volunteered with Cat Sense, a cat rescue originization based in Murrysville. I can PM you their website and phone # if you want. If they can't take her, they might lead you to someone who could.

I'll PM the info. I'm curious, what area of Pittsburgh do you live? I used to live in Penn Hills.

Conchitaroja, "PM" means that I sent you a private message. You can click your user CP which is at the top of every post. When you do, you'll find the information about Cat Sense there.
