Well, I can't "root, root, root for the home team", because they ARE a shame (have you SEEN the Orioles?), but there for some reason is nothing like a baseball stadium hot dog! What is it about them? So...

I'll have one (maybe two ) dogs w/mustard and, since it's a ball game, I'll have a brew.

Pinot's mom, the Pirates were just as bad as the Orioles this year. I'll be rooting for the Phillies in the playoffs. RICHARD, I'll have a hot dog with everything and coffee with Bailey's in it.

Thanks for commisserating, David, and indeed the O's were not alone! I just checked; the Royals, the Indians, the Pirates, and the Mets all tanked about equally. However, the above 100 loss award belongs solely to...

    THE WASHINGTON DC NATIONALS!!

Somehow that brightened things up a little for me - you know, the "battle of the Beltway" and all that...

    Richard,
I'll have a beer and a dog and some popcorn! LH and I tried to watch the Twins game but after the 5th inning LH had had enough and we changed the channel.
RIP Lady, Thursday's won't be the same without you to cuddle with by the fire

Well thank you very much David! It's good to know that at least one cheer is going up from the Pittsburgh area, although my niece now lives out there now and hasn't forgotten her roots!

No alcohol for me today Richard. I want to have a clear head when they win game two today (fingers crossed). Maybe an iced tea with a slice of lemon.
