    So......

Blumenthal asked Gov. M. Jodi Rell to detail fund seizures that she and legislators made this year from dedicated accounts and transferred to the General Fund to balance the state budget.
The Governor of the State, in a probably coordinated effort with the legislature, as no governor has sole budgetary power as far as I know, moves funds from dedicated accounts to the General Fund (Sound familiar....hmmm......Social Security rings a bell) and you call the Governor a female dog?

    What about the legislature?

Sounds like a classic case of voter nearsightedness.......

Congress (Or the legislature, or whatever body) IS CORRUPT!!!!! Get rid of 'em!

(But not my representative, they're okay.......it's the idiots everyone else is voting for)

What about the vouchers for spaying/neutering? Were "any" vouchers ever given out - or were they just accumulating funds?

BTW, before anyone calls anyone a thief, want to wait until the AG completes the investigation and finds out what happened?

    Lady's Human,

Wait? There were over 450 requests for vouchers that have been sitting on the DOA's desk. We've waited far too long. In the meantime, shelter animals are dying because the shelters are far overcrowded. People like me who have been involved for years with the TNR and rescuing countless animals from euthanasia are tired of the bull. And yes, I am calling her a female dog. Live in CT and walk a mile in the resident's shoes, then come talk to me.

This "Mary Poppins" Governor and her cronies need to be stopped. Her assistant, Lisa Moody, is up to no good too. Google her and Governor M. Jodi Rell and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Oh and no, I didn't vote for her. She got her position by default after the last Governor was tossed outta office for being a crook. You can't tell me that as the Lt. Governor, she didn't know what was going on at the time.

She's a crook, plain and simple.

I'll see you Governor Rell and raise you Gov. Patterson and the State Senate of New York.

The "wait" remark was meant to wait for the investigation to be complete before calling someone a thief. While Governors have executive power, they are by no means constitutionally omnipotent, unless the CT state constitution is far different from the four I've looked at. Moving funds normally requires at a bare minimum the consent of the legislature. It's not like the Governor has a checkbook for the accounts to do with as they see fit.

    Lady's Human,

Hey, I only calls them as I sees them. I'd say we both have a "Full House", dude. The story has hit the tv stations and has made headlines. We are trying to get the names of the Legislators who okayed it. Our Governor seems to run the state as she sees fit, and most of the Legislators don't even bad an eye. Makes me sick.

My main concern is the animals. They are at risk because people don't have access to these vouchers that will help them with low cost spay/neuter.

Rell, in her pathetic effort to balance the budge, made a PSA saying that balancing the budget will be a "joint effort". The only "joint" I see, is one that she's smoking while bleeding the special plates programs dry. "CFP" was a very successful program till she effed it up. In the meantime, cats are running around procreating, DYING causing us rescue organizations and rescue volunteers to scramble to pick up the pieces.

The "Caring for Pets" program had over $1 million dollars in it. It's now down to $530,000, and she's trying to get her grubby little hands on that too!!!
