I am so sorry for your loss!

I firmly believe your dad knows how much you love him and that you would have been there if you could have!!! It's never easy to lose them but the love will remain with you forever. Prayers for you and your family!

My deepest sympathies to you and the rest of the family. I know what it's like to lose a Dad and not be there to say good-bye. That's something that I struggle with on a day to day basis....14 years later. I've come to believe that my Dad didn't want me to watch him die. I believe that terminally ill patients choose when they die and perhaps your Dad thought it would be too hard on you to be there at the end.

    {{{hugs}}} and prayers.

I saw this quote the other day, and just had to write it down:

"Sometimes God takes our loved ones home to heal."

Hug that new baby girl of yours a bit tighter. I'm very sorry to read of your loss and that you weren't able to get to see him. Maybe you can take comfort in knowing that he didn't have years of terrible suffering to endure with the disease.

I'm so sorry about your dad and I'm sorry that you didn't get to tell him good-bye. I'm sure he knew how much he meant to you though; so don't worry about that. I know nothing anyone says is going to make you feel any better right now, but it's going to be alright. It will always hurt--you know that, but it will get easier as time passes, plus you've got that beautiful baby girl to take care of.

So sorry to read this Carmen. I hope you'll still be able to say goodbye to him when you go over (you're still going over?).
