    Crested Gecko Photo Shoot

We gave the gecko kids all a big tank clean this past weekend and did some moving around.

Recently, Alice turned 'male' on us and was going after Esme. Esme in turn took a chunk of "Alice's" tail off. We seperated them and renamed 'Alice' to 'Jasper'.

Esme spent some time alone in the quarantine tank and when it became apparant she'd stay female, we introduced her into the tank with June and Mei.

I snapped a few photos with those that would cooperate and we got a few cute sleeping photos as well.

    So without further adieu...

After this pic was snapped, Raptor lunged at Chipper and Chipper freaked out.

    Jasper sleeping

June and Mei sychronized sleeping (and holding paws! )

    Raptor sleeping....

See how the eye sinks in and the eyelashes sort of fold down over the eye... that's how you know their sleeping. I still think a part of him is keeping watch though....

They are huge! I don't think my mother's ever got to be so large. I love crested geckos. They are just so cute to me.

I've heard of people feeding pinkies to adult cresteds but I've never done it and it's not a staple to their diet. They are primarily insect and fruit eaters. Mine love fresh mango.

Wow! Your Geckos are a real beauty! I love them!

Had a lizard when I was a kid, captured it in winter and released it in Summer. But never had Geckos as a pet.

When I was in Thailand I saw the first and only Geckos in my life and was amazed at the chirping sound they made.

Do your Geckos make sounds as well?

Whilst on the same holiday we went to check out a hut on a beach but was not positioned in the front overlooking the sea but with trees (cheaper alternative!). When we went in the bedroom with the owner showing us around we saw on the window what it looked like an outline of a huge gecko......I mean scarely huge!!! Like 1.5m!!!!! Tom looked at me with watery eyes as 'no way I'm sleeping here!!! Lol! He was sure there was the propability it knew his way in and would end up in bed between us!!!! Lol!!

Here in malta we only have what is called Turkish Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus) and don't grow as big as yours. With rough and quite transparent skin. They are gorgeous! But I do not believe they make a specific sound! This is how they look:
