Pat, I am so very sorry. You are doing everything humanly possible for your baby.I hope she lets you know when she's "done" and that her passing is peaceful. It is ALWAYS on a Sunday isn't it?
Gentle hugs to you and love to both of you for your time together.
Claudia
She's gone. ER vet said she was too far gone for draining the fluids to be any help. She's anemic, very dehydrated (and I'd just given her 100cc fluid). Vet said her system is already starting to shut down.
I was crying away. I asked, couldn't draining the fluids give her a little more time? Would there be a specialist who could perhaps help her?
I kept saying, I'm so sorry, Peony.
I held her at the end. Kept petting her and saying "I love you so much!"
I'll see you again, my dearest Peony, one fine day.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
