He's a paranoid-schizophrenic. When he takes his meds, he appears to be "normal." And he was taking his meds when he planned the escape. Once he's off them for 48-72 hours - then the crazy comes through. That's when he is dangerous.

I agree with you, but he is guilty of the crime because of being mentally ill. And that precludes prison.And that's why I think he should be in a max prison, not in a mental hospital!

And whoever used that .22 against him would have been no better, possibly worse, than he was. Unless, of course, s/he was also criminally insane.
