    For your dad (and you):

The Light of God surrounds you

The Love of God enfolds you

The Power of God protects you

The Wisdom of God guides and directs you

    Wherever you go, God is

    And all is well

    And so it is

    Amen.

Keep the faythe. And by all means enjoy your baby.
    Blessings,
    Mary

    Bad news just got worse...
They had to stop the chemo because his liver couldn't handle it.
Also, they have discovered it's in his lungs and bones as well.
For now, they will start radiation therapy that is the only therapy that might be effective to slow the bones deterioration down.
For now... it looks like he has 6 months.
    I am numb.
Got Laura's SS card in the mail yesterday.
I'll be applying for her passport tomorrow.

I am so sorry to hear this, but all I can do is offer prayers for your Dad and you and the entire family.
Cancer is probably the most dreaded diagnosis anyone could be dealt - not only for the patient - but for everyone involved. I know it's easier said than done, but please try to be strong, no matter the outcome. You have that little person just starting her life, that needs you.
Unfortunately, I've had to deal with this dreaded disease with family too. My father, grandfather, and 2 uncles all passed away with cancer, and both of my brother have had it too. It never got any easier to accept no matter how many times I had to face it.
Just know that we all have you and your Dad in our thoughts and prayers.

Now is the only time you have, so live it with a will -
Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.

6 months??? The doctors are not God. They really don't know. I know several cancer patients who were told the same thing and that was years ago. Keep the faith!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Healing thoughts and prayers are going out to your father. I hope that the doctors can do something to drastically slow down the cancer cells, and that he will have much longer to live.

My thoughts are with you, Carmen.
