Sorry to hear both are not doing so well. It sure seems to come in spurts doesn't it? I wish you the best on a speedy recovery for both.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

What beautiful, beautiful boys! They are so content and well-loved.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I do think our older cats teach us some valuable lessons. Filou and Tigris are brave and handsome boys, and I hope they'll be with you for a good long time yet.

I can definitely relate to what you're experiencing. My oldies but goodies, Boo Bear and Pidge, are nearly 19 and 21 respectively. It's tough when you see them both age and get sick, especially simultaneously. Prayers are continuing for them and you. Keep the faythe.
    Blessings,
    Mary

What a pair of handsome boys! I didn't realize that Filou was 13 years old. Even Mango at eight and a half, is slowing down a bit. He used to jump from the floor to the top of a door in a single bound. Now he needs to kick off of the door knob for that extra boost.

Years back (maybe 2005?) a couple of Filou pictures captured that relationship we share with our kitties - how much they are part of our lives and how much they fill our days with their affection and companionship. Abys, of course, need to inspect all foods that are prepared or brought into the household. I have several friends whose Abys have a reserved spot on the kitchen counter where they sit and observe, inspect and sample the foods being prepared.
