I'm rather familiar with Triple Sec, we used to use it in mixes when we were younger. Now we tend to stick to the basics.

Richard - get in the party spirit! It's a big weekend for them - we have a 50th for a friend on Saturday & the traditional end of summer party here on Sunday.
I will, I am just having a 'pity party' this week.

Me and the Orc had a heart to heart earlier. My toe is starting to tap.

    Coffee, Bailey's and cake!

    DONE!

    Mary,

It smell like smoke again today. I'll trade you a rain for some hot?

    Coffee and Bailey's?

    DONE!

You got it, RICHARD. My son says he's eyes on constantly burning, so I feel for ya. When he comes to OH next week for a visit, though, and he sees that we're already having autumn weather, he may decide CA is better, although no one wants to see CA burn.
    Blessings,
    Mary

The one 'up' point is the colors of the sunsets and moonrises.

I've been feeling a bit lonesome today for some reason. Guess it's what mom always called the BLUES.

I just hate to think of the cold weather and all the aches and pains it brings.

    So, on that cheerful note:

dusting off the grill for hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixins!!! Nothing like a good old cookout to lighten the mood, eh? Well, a big juciey burger always helps me any how.

    I'll share!!!
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

I am my own barmaid this week and I've had a glass-half-full kind of week. I'm finding that even though I'm not always having fun, life is still moving fast! Since it's a lovely Thursday evening in the Windy City, I'm going to fix myself one of these. Would anyone else like one?

    Cosmopolitan
    1 shot vodka
    1/2 shot triple sec
    1/2 shot cranberry juice
    1/2 shot lime juice

Add ingredients to cocktail mixer, shake, then strain into a chilled martini glass.

Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

I LOVE Cosmopolitans (and I never even watched Sex & the City)!! I'm in. OK, since we've had cake with coffee; what's next...how about a nice summer pasta dish to go with that cookout menu?

    Define "slab".....

Using terms like that without definition can get dangerous around here.....

Summer? Summer? Is that one of these bizarre American words you use in this thread to try and confuse me??? It's certainly not something we have had here.

I will join you in a Cosmopolitan, Elyse. I would like to join you in the windy city too. How is your weather?
