    Cowboys and Angels.

Hm. It never really grabbed me. Too sappy and soap opera -ish for my taste.

    Taking Chance.

I cant imagine a harder duty for any of our armed service members then escorting a fallen Soldier or Marine home to rest. This movie does a very good job portraying how we honor our fallen warriors on their final trip home.

That is my favorite movie, period.

Did you know they have an Annual Somewhere in Time Festival at the Grand Hotel.

Yes, I do know about that. I live in Michigan, not near Mackinac Island, but have been there.

For anyone who doesn't know the Island - they had to get special permission to use those cars in the 1980 scenes. Cars are not allowed on Mackinac - horse drawn carriages, bikes, or your own 2 feet.

    Gran Torino.

I read some of the other comments in this thread about the film, and I didn't find it depressing in the slightest. It was intense and definitely gets through to deep parts of your soul. Definitely has it's sad parts, but overall I felt the message was one of hope and love and friendship and forgiveness. Brilliant movie. Clint Eastwood is a top notch class act, through and through.

I've recently seen "What Happens in Vegas". I don't usually like Cameron Diaz, but have to say that I enjoyed this one.

    The Butterfly Effect

It's really different. It shows how events effect lives. I was impressed with the way the sequences were shot.

Eagle Eye with Shia Lebouef (?) - this kid should stick to more not-so-serious roles. 1.5 stars?

The butterfly effect is an awesome movie, apparently butterfly effect 2 was not very good though, just going by word of mouth.
