Lorraine: I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Wee Willy! May he RIP and run freely in the sweet grasses of the RB.

    {{{hugs}}}
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

It is so hard to type this through my tears. You have my sympathy and I am asking the angels to send my love to Willy. I am so sorry. I know I will be a total mess when one of my boys has to leave me. I will depend on the kind people here to see me through it.

I'm so sorry for your loss; as has been said, it was a shock for one so young. I know you'll miss your baby Willy, but you did everything you could do for him.

Godspeed to the Bridge dear Willy, and peace to your Mom.

I'm so sorry about Willy! He had a life that made up in quality what it didn't have in quantity. We'll all miss the wild-haired Willy boy.

I'm sorry about little Willy. Thank God he had in his short life what many other kitties never get to know: a mom who loved him dearly.
    Big hugs to you
    RIP Willy.

Thank you everyone for your very kind words and to Karen, thank you for that very lovely poem.

Yes, this was very hard on me because I wasn't expecting this terrible diagnosis. I knew something was more wrong with Willy than these bladder infections, because the last few days, he wasn't himself at all. He just basically stayed on the cat tree and when I would go up to him, he would lift his head and let out this pitiful meow which just broke my heart. Then on Friday, we got the dreadful news from the vet about the results of his tests. After he consulted with the other vets he works with, he said Willy had cancer and it was the aggressive kind.
I know I made the right choice, but it is still very hard and I couldn't let my Wild Haired Wee Widdle Willy suffer another day.

The first day my neighbour brought this little kitty to me.

He was such a wee thing, hence his name, Wee Willy Winky.

My all time favorite picture of Willy.

RIP my big beautiful boy. You are sadly missed and will never be forgotten.

Oh my goodness, W3 was such a little fuzz nugget and he grew up to be a big hunk o' burnin' love! I'm so sorry, sweetie. The memories are bittersweet right now but know that you did right by him and Willy knows it, too.
    Blessings,
    Mary

I just saw this. I know how it is to lose a cat at a too-young age. Willy touched everyone's heart, and we will all miss him.

Lorraine, I lit another candle for Willy and you: http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/...ng&cid=8645061

And I see there are others burning for him there, too.

Again, all my very deepest sympathy.. I wish I could reach out and hug you right this minute.

Love to you and all Willy's family,
    Pat (and cats, too)
