Mary honey you have a sign above your house that is only visible to kitties, just like my house, it say's WELCOME,COME ON IN, they both sound so cute, so sad that so many kitties out there do not have the love and care of a decent human being, if only we could rescue them all.

Does the Tuxie have a collar, or do you have a soft really stretchy one you might be able to put on her?

That way you could attach a note to it, and hopefully whoever her family is could attach one in reply.

I've read about that sort of thing being done...it can work.

That's a good idea, Candace. No collar, though. I'll keep it in mind for the next little fren if s/he's wearing one.

    My Tuxie friend is back

He must like thunderstorms because he's been here before when it was thundering and lightning. (I'm calling it a "he" because it has a boy's face to me.) I put food and water out again and he didn't bother w/it but didn't want petted either. He just wants in my house. He sits at the window and cries. When I put the Fur Posse to bed in the basement a few minutes ago, he was looking in the basement window and crying. It's heartbreaking. I sure hope he has a warm bed this winter, although I do have a shelter outside for him but I'd rather he had an indoor bed. Sigh.
    Blessings,
    Mary

She came back again just a few minutes ago. No thunderstorm this time. She rolled over and I gave her a belly rub and I felt a lump, probably a lipoma from being spayed. I know, I said I thought she was a boy but she's a girl. It's so hard to tell unless I see all the equipment! She's such a sweetie and I worry about her walking onto my neighbor's property, you know, Mr. Cat Kicker. I just know he's going to come over here and ask if she's one of mine even though I've told him repeatedly that all my cats are indoors. As a matter of fact, I heard my doorbell ring while I was showering today but there was no note so maybe it was him.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Looks like my little fren may have been in a fight

She's learned to come around in the evening and I heard Boo yowling, so I looked out the patio door and, sho nuf, there she was. I put food and water out as usual and when she rubbed up against the patio table, I noticed a spot on her neck. At first I thought it was a warble but it's scabbed over. I swear, it wasn't there yesterday or, if it was, her fur covered it because I petted her up, down and all around and saw/felt nothing then. Sigh. I have Boo's appt. tomorrow and he has to come first. If I see that she has more marks on her next time, I'll take her to my local vet rather than drive all the way to Dr. Lee's. The little tiger kitty came around last night, too, but s/he took off as soon as I walked outside. I can't stand to hear Tuxie cry. It sounds so pathetic and I can tell how badly she wants to come indoors w/the Fur Posse. It's as though she's saying "I've heard about this place and I know it's hard to get in but it's possible because I see more of my kind in there!" Boo really carries on but maybe it's because his RB sister Peeka was a tuxie and this one reminds him of Peekie.
    Blessings,
    Mary

I hope she is ok! Poor baby, probably getting picked on being outside. I feel so bad for the outside kitties... lol that is how mom and I ended up with 6 kitties that lived in our garage when I was a teenager... we couldn't bring them in, but it was better than them being outside.

    Good luck with Tuxie.

Can she be taken to a Humane Society/SPCA?

Probably, but before I would do that, I'd have to make an effort to see if she belongs to anyone in the neighborhood. I'd rather take her to my vet and have her checked out. I don't think I'd take her to the HS anyhow. Cats are stacked in cages to the ceiling (no exaggeration) and URI's are a real problem.
