Richard - I swear one needs an advanced degree in statistics, with a bit of geometry thrown in, to figure out the scheduling for the College World Series

Game 5 loser vs Game 6 winner vs Game 7 loser - and on and on and on. This old brain of mine is on over drive

I got some wins this past weekend too!

    About stats?

Lately, I have been kinda turned off about some of the stats that the announcers talk about. It's mostly for the fantasy league fans.

    In the paper?

I got RISP, OBP and some of the others.

It took me a while to get NP, L10, STR in the box scores.

Now, Number of Pitches, Last 10 games (a won, lost summary) and Streaks (won and lost) are part of the listings.

I am a causal fan, I do enjoy some of the stats, but some of them are truly bizarre and confusing.....

"Joe Blow hits .366 with runners on third, during the first and third weeks of a month that ends in "ER" or Days that end in uneven numbers during a full moon or election year!"
