I saw "Jeremiah Johnson" for a second time. I loved it the first time around and after 35 years it did not lose any appeal. This is a great Redford movie.

"Australia", It was just Ok for me. Although the scenery was very pretty the story line was reminesant of an old 50's western with a bit of supernatural. I guess in this case it was 50's western meets WW2. I dont care for even the Idea of Nicole Kidman however Jackman was as usual bigger than life. It was also a little long for me. It is rare that I look forward to a movie ending. I had the ending figured out but it seemed that they wanted to drag it out
    for effect,and missed their mark.

From 1968 - The Lion in Winter with Katharine Hepburn and Peter O'Toole. Excellent movie - makes me want to read a book about that period in history.

This afternoon, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3.

Washington and Travolta are wonderful - lots and lots of action.

Frost/Nixon this a very compelling drama directed by Ron Howard.
I highly recommend it. Although it is based on real events it is not a docu-drama. I give it 5++ stars. I have not been drawn into a movie like this in a long time.

I think I posted this somewhere on the board months ago. It's such a great memory, I have to post it again.
When I went to see Jeremiah Johnson, I was seeing it at a drive-in in the mountain range where it was filmed in Utah. It was incredible to sit there and know it was filmed a short distance away. Those mountains are incredibly beautiful.

Has anybody seen Paul Blart-Mall Cop? I'm in love with Kevin James so my son bought me the DVD. It was cute.

    I've been Boo'd...

I recently saw "Rachel Getting Married" with Anne Hathaway. It was good but I found parts of it really long and I found some of the scripts choices really distracting and weird, and I focused so much on wondering why they would choose that, I didn't pay as much attention to the story.

I saw "Slumdog Millionaire" and found it predictable and not worth the hype at all.

"The Wrestler" was AMAZING and I loved it, but that could be because my uncle used to be a wrestler (Moondog Moretti or Eddie Moretti depending on the year) and did a lot of community wrestling and I know the movie was really important to him.

EVERYONE should go see "UP" - I have seen it in theatre twice and already want to go back. It has so many levels. It's great for kids but there is enough adult humour for everyone to enjoy it. It actually made me laugh out loud both times I saw it. I can't wait to own it. I also found it to be a tear jerker. It's not sad, but it's really touching. Go see it!!!!!

I left the room about halfway through, and just kinda half-listened to the rest. It just seemed too awfully depressing, and I wasn't in the mood for it. Thought it'd be more about the car . Sometimes I don't need reminding that life can be sad.

Paul liked it - he watched the whole thing, but did admit it was depressing.

I like Redbox - I don't feel nearly as bad walking out halfway through a movie I paid a dollar to rent as I would a ten-dollar theater ticket.
