cone headed dog at the park?

princess peanut is wearing a cone today and is soooo pitiful. she has a dog wart (proven not to be a mast cell tumor by aspiration) that in a fit of anxiety last weekend, she has nibbled into almost a hot spot. it started healing, and it was looking better until late yesterday. sometime while i was sleeping she started picking it again, it looks awful this morning. so the area, under her protest, was washed, medicated and now she is a conehead, her body language , tailtucked, sad face is both funny, guilt producing and sad. i really don't want her at the dog park on sunday with a oozy sore, so i'm appealing to all of you experts...any other treatment ideas? before i leave for work at 6:45 am, every day this week, she will get a brisk walk, classical music, softly playing on the kitchen radio, 2 vet okayed benadryls, a large peanut butter smeared kong in her bed, and an extra one in the kitchen to find later, (a tired and full dog is a sleepy dog) with the blinds closed so the outside world isn't seen. she has a topical triple antibiotic ointment on the area and a tshirt on her while i'm gone. i take both off when i get home, so it can 'airout' and i can keep a close eye on her. thanks, joyce

If she'll leave it alone when you're around to keep reminding her to
"leave it alone!" - I wouldn't worry about the Dawg Paark.
Leave the collar off - they're hard to *play* in.

If the T-shirt covers the boo-boo - let her wear the Tee at the Dawg Park.
Heidi did OK with her T-shirt AND heavily wapped bum foot - nobody
*picked on* her and she had a blast all day.

Maybe she'll be so busy playing, she'll forget about the boo boo.
