Elyse's embarrassing "clothing optional" moment... on a Carnival cruise, fall 1998. At the back of the pool deck is a staircase leading up to another, smaller deck. I'm thinking that would be a great spot from which to take a picture facing the front of the ship, so I head up the stairs and - Whoops! Clothing-optional sunbathing ahead!No wonder people were giving me funny looks as I headed up those stairs in my T-shirt, shorts, baseball hat, socks and sneakers. What a dork! I very quickly snapped the photo and high-tailed it out of there. Found out later that on the first day the ship sails, that little deck is not clothing optional, so that would have been the day to get the photo.
