LOL....
So let me get this straight.... If YOU say something controversial, I am not allowed to retort becuse you see that as "picking a fight"?
I reckon I should not be surprised. Oh well.
"Unlike most of you, I am not a nut."
- Homer Simpson
"If the enemy opens the door, you must race in."
- Sun Tzu - Art of War
I didn't see Puck as trying to start a fight here personally, and I think he has a point. What these idiots on TV said was stupid and ignorant, they deserve to have to apologize publicly and face the derision they are now receiving, but getting worked up into a vein-popping fury over it doesn't do anything but raise your own blood pressure. People say stupid and stereotypical things about other countries constantly, it is not limited to the U.S. I have heard many insults and stereotypes slung around about Americans as well. For this guy, the timing of his idiocy couldn't have been worse. But the way I see it, you blow him off as a jerk and not representative of the nation as a whole and go on with life.
My 2 cents.
Mom to Raven and Rudy the greyhound
Missing always: Tasha & Tommy, at the Rainbow Bridge
No vein popping going on here..
thats all I'm going to say on that as I have no interest in arguing
This got lost in the 'translation'.
No where was the performance or bravery of the Canadian AFs questioned.
The 'joke' was what would the men and women do when they had time to come home and regroup.
Yoga, painting and walking on the beach in capris is not the preferred way for soldiers to 'regroup'- and any one in the armed forces of any country would tell you that they would go home, hang with family, decompress and relax.
A soldier with a sense of humor would be a little more honest. He's tell you he was going home to rock the headboard, have some drinks and hug the shait outta family members.
No need to get all scrunched up in the undie area.
