The coming of spring is always a mixed blessing for me - with spring comes warmer temperatures, and lovely flowering plants and leaves and trees, but also pollen, and mud season.

Today, walking across the back yard the ground felt hollow underfoot - it's a weird feeling you get when you know that it's just mud underneath the grass that has been frozen for months, and one good thaw will make it treacherous. It's just part of Spring in New England, but mud season has been much less of a hassle since we paved the driveway, so that's one good thing!

OK, I'm sorry if anyone is dissapointed, but I would LOVE an American pancake included in my breakfast.... will a Mimosa go with that?

And this afternoon, I'll make this layered cake I'm sure Phred can't say no to - even if it IS called "Womania"! Hot chocolade with that please! Oh, and a dash of Grand Marnier in that, please.

Spring is definately here, just look at all the..... argh, can't remember the names in English OR Danish (they're yellow and they're white), and then of course the crocus - love those!

Where's Slick - and Gini? What could they be up to?

Now, why would we be disappointed in a HUGE American Pancake?
    Mimosas go with anything.

And a hot choco, with a splash of GM too!

Randi, that is not a picture of a cake......It looks like a 'sin'!

    DONE!

We have to sing happy birthday to Phred and LP....

    Happy Birthday to them.....

Happy St. Paddy's day. May the luck of the Irish be with us all!

Anyone care to join me in a toast to Phred??

Randi, w-u-r-k is keeping me away.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Happy St. Pat's day everyone!

And Happy BD to Phred and LP!!!

I got to see the space shuttle fly over my house last night. It was so cute. It looked like a tiny ufo.

Not been around much lately. I fell trying to get into the senior bus Friday, which is really a van type thing. Anyway, it made my achey arthritis even worse. I'm better now. I think.
I fell going home from the dr of all things. Tore all four fingernails on my right hand off below the quicks. owie

    Can I have a cherry rootbeer? PL--ee-ase?

No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

Thanks for the lovely cold cherry rootbeer!

The thing that really bothers me about the entire bus thing is the driver knows I have a hard time getting into the back because it's higher than the front. Her grown healthy son came up to vist here and was riding around visiting with her. He could have at least offered to get in the back for 10 minutes until they got me home. sheesh

One of the drivers told me once that if I couldn't get on and off by myself, I'd need to bring a "handler" to help me. They won't even consider getting a step stool. They are afraid someone would fall and sue them.

I know I'm not the only short and shrimpy senior with arthritis they have riding with them. sheesh again!!!
